Raffles Al Areen Palace
– A Landmark Resort Reimagined With Elegance & Craftsmanship

DecoFit completed a full-scale renovation of Raffles Al Areen Palace, Bahrain’s first and only all-villa luxury retreat. Formerly known as Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort, the property holds historical significance in Bahrain’s hospitality landscape. The redevelopment formed part of the client’s new master plan—introducing an arabesque-themed five-star hotel operated by Raffles at the heart of the development. The result is a breathtaking re-establishment of Arabian luxury, now recognised as one of the region’s most refined hospitality destinations.

Large-Scale Manufacturing & Bespoke Interior Execution
Our team undertook a comprehensive renovation scope, including the refurbishment of 1,094 complex doors and the manufacture of 7,000+ custom FF&E pieces for more than 38 private villas. Unique veneer-and-wood patterned designs were developed to align with the arabesque architectural narrative. Villas ranging from one to three bedrooms were renovated alongside public spaces, ensuring a consistently premium guest experience. Joinery upgrades included doors, cabinetry, decorative screens, wall panels and built-in wardrobe systems—engineered, manufactured and installed to world-class hospitality standards.

Value-Driven Execution with Precision Planning
Through strategic value engineering, we ensured material efficiency, cost control and seamless delivery. One of the project’s biggest achievements was renovating 38 villas with no available as-built drawings—completed through meticulous planning and protection of active underground MEP systems while demolition continued.
