Perched on the cliffs of Oman’s Al Hajar mountains, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar is a 115-key, five-star luxury resort that sets a benchmark for high-end hospitality in the region. DecoFit, through its partnership with S&T Interiors and Contracting and a joint venture with ALEC, delivered a comprehensive turnkey interior fit-out, including premium joinery and gypsum works, ensuring every space reflects elegance, comfort, and a distinctive mountain-luxe identity.

High-End Joinery & Gypsum Works Across the Resort

The project encompassed all areas of the resort, including the presidential suite, villas, lounges, library, restaurants, pool bar, terraces, and back-of-house facilities. Custom timber joinery, wall paneling, cabinetry, and intricate gypsum ceiling and wall designs were meticulously executed to complement the resort’s luxurious ambiance. Every interior element was crafted to enhance both aesthetic appeal and long-term functionality, creating a seamless and immersive guest experience.

Overcoming Mountainous Challenges

The unique location presented logistical and environmental challenges, including transporting materials to cliffside terrain, working in cold and dry conditions, limited potable water, and high-altitude considerations. Despite these obstacles, the collaborative effort between DecoFit, S&T Interiors, and ALEC ensured the project was completed successfully and handed over in August 2016, standing as one of the most complex and rewarding interior fit-outs in the Middle East.
